Our Counselors
Camp Wachusett’s counselors carry forward the timeless traditions, values, and spirit that make camp feel like home. Nearly all of our counselors grew up here as campers before progressing through our CIT and Junior Counselor programs, giving them a deep understanding of camp life and what younger boys need to feel supported, confident, and included.

Every counselor is hand-picked by our director based on character, leadership, and their long-standing connection to camp. They arrive with years of Wachusett experience, a full week of staff training, and a genuine commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for every boy.
All staff undergo background checks, are vetted over many summers, and are invited to join the team only after proving themselves ready to guide younger campers. This approach creates an extraordinary team that knows camp inside and out. Wachusett’s 95% staff return rate reflects the true strength of the community they help build.
